Hardback with dust cover, 256 pages. Colour photographs throughout of Persian Punch and many of his greatest races. Excellent condition.

There has never been a racehorse quite like Persian Punch. In a long and glorious career he thrilled his followers with inspirational performances of courage, grit and determination. Year after year he pulled off amazing front running victories, many times refusing to accept what appeared certain defeat and clawing his way back to win. Sadly his great story came to a tragic end on a miserable afternoon at Ascot which devastated his fans. Only Desert Orchid and Best Mate have attracted quite such a following in recent times and the fact that 'Punch' was racing on the level and at the highest level for so many seasons is a tribute in itself.
